MY NAME IS EMMA
They say a change is as good as a holiday. Is that true for you? I often find myself looking at our home décor and wondering what else I could do to liven it up a little. If you’re anything like me, I don’t want to go to the store and buy some generic posters that everyone else has. I don’t want to buy something just because I need something new to replace the old. I want to buy something I really love. Something I’m excited to look at every day. Something that brings a little bit of personality along with it. So I started putting together some ideas that were different, themes that my children were interested in, but most importantly, things that were meaningful.
So that brings me to the question, what drives me to get out of bed in the morning and grow my business? Without a doubt it’s my children. The loves of my life. I have been lucky enough to be able to stay home for the last 7 years and spend time with my munchkins, and they are the reason I started putting these designs together in the first place.
Since having children I have enjoyed adding personal touches to everything we do. Creating custom prints for many occasions, to make it memorable and to have little keepsakes along the way. From creating their nursery wall décor, designing their birth prints to announce them to the world, putting together birthday cards, invitations and milestone posters for every birthday, and a simple room décor restyling any time their interests change. All of which got me to branch out to prints for the whole family to enjoy.
I often had friends and family tell me I should start selling these and I always thought I would one day and see how things went but I kept putting it off until I had a final shove in 2021 by my sister who started my business social media accounts and I had no choice but to run with it, and I am now so thankful for the push.
I am a qualified teacher, coming to the end of my family leave and I wanted to start this venture so I could continue working from home as much as possible to be with my kids.
Creating prints of all sorts is something I really enjoy and I love seeing the looks on my kid’s faces when they’re looking a something I have put together for them. My eldest daughter now says to me when she grows up she wants to do what I do, which gives me a sense of pride in what I have accomplished so far..
Seeing the joy these prints give my children, I wanted to be able to share that with others. I want to help make your children, family and friends eyes light up with they see personalized gifts just for them. I want to work with customers to design new ideas that are personal and important to them.
I spend a lot of my time conversing with customers, to make sure they are getting exactly what they want. I don’t class this as a job, it’s a passion and I want my customers to walk away not just happy with their purchase, but ecstatic. I want them to say, I’m coming back for more. I want them to tell their friends how easy it was to get something they really love. I want them to see the pride and care that goes into their design. I want them to see a mum sharing her passion for others to enjoy.
